“Old made all New”

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2017
This is a small motel from the 50s that has been totally re-done. The rooms are newly renovated and comfortable. It is easy to find, quaint, and very clean. The owners are helpful and friendly - they love T or C and reflect that in the recommendations that they provide to visitors. Rates are very reasonable - restaurants, downtown, hotsprings, and historic area very close by. I highly recommend it!

“Best little motel ever!”

Reviewed January 2017 ago via mobile
As we were traveling through New Mexico on our way to Tucson, Az we decided we better stop and spend the night at a motel. My daughter found Rocket Inn online and thought I would like it because of its quaintness. She was right and after working in the Hospitality industry for 25+ years I'm a little particular where I want to spend the night. This little motel has very clean rooms, comfortable beds and accommodating friendly staff. Great place to stay and we plan to go back again.

“What a Find”

The Rocket is a real jewel of a place and benefits us all due to the owner, Val. It is obvious she has put her heart into this property since she bought it and redid all of the rooms, bathrooms and deserty garden area. We arrived and she gave us an overview of the area, and the restaurants as that was what we were most interested in finding out from a local's view. She offers a continental breakfast which we partook of the coffee, the best darn coffee that we found in town, and has brochures, maps and whimsical rockets in the office. The doors are the originals but have been distressed and painted and there are several colorful Mexican benches outside of the rooms to plunk down and sit awhile. The beds are comfy, the rooms toasty and the bathrooms are just gorgeous. Our shower enclosure was all custom made with a band of stone mosaic inlay. We did use Val's recommendations for dining and particularly liked the Los Arcos steak house, where Val has her own margarita named after her. Truth or Consequences is an interesting town which seems to be pulling it self up by its bootstraps and is a neat combination of cowboys, hippies and gays that make it work and seem to get along fine…and this is from Val. Our stay was very quiet and T or C is small enough to wander around and see some museums and memorials and galleries. We couldn't have been more pleased with this little town and the Rocket Inn and Val as our host. And, the downtown supermarket is a pretty darn good little grocery store. For nice people, some eclectic dining experiences (Lat 33) or just some great New Mexico beef (Los Arcos), visit T or C and stay at the Rocket Inn for a fine example of someone's (Val's) hard work making for a great stay. Thanks Val, we enjoyed our 2 nights here and talking with you!
