“I LOVE this Motel”
5/5 bubbles
My husband and I stayed here for 1 night during our 2 week one year anniversary road trip of Arizona & New Mexico and we could've stayed here a week we loved it so much. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep. The whole place is super cute and the owner is super friendly and helpful. We ate a restaurant she suggested and it was wonderful! We will be back again for sure!
Room Tip: I would all the rooms are great if they were like ours!

“Out of this world... well, it is a Rocket!”
 5/5 bubbles
I stayed here after my original motel couldn't fulfil my reservation - and what a bonus that turned out to be! The Rocket Inn is a small motor court on the main drag through TorC, yet surprisingly quiet. The rooms are very nicely furnished, the bed very comfortable and my room had good TV and wifi reception. Val, one of the owners who was manning the desk, was incredibly helpful and even kept the continental breakfast going way past time for me when I was late up. The whole place just smacks of people who care about what a good motel should be, that comes through in every detail. It's a lovely place to stay. Go there.

“Convenient, Friendly and Affordable!”
5/5 bubbles
I stayed at the Rocket Inn for a night on a long southwestern road trip and couldn't have lucked out more. Val, the owner, is super friendly and gave my travel partner and I tons of recommendations for where to eat and what to do. We ended up going to some of her suggested places and they were fabulous, as well! The hotel is very well remodeled—Val did it mostly herself, and even gave us a quick tour of some of the other empty rooms so we could see her handiwork—the neighborhood is quiet even though the hotel is on a main thoroughfare, and it is conveniently located in downtown T or C. I would love to stay there again on a future trip in the area!
Room Tip: Motel-style, and only 10 rooms, but I'd be willing to bet all the rooms are equally comfortable...

“Nice place, friendly owners (and dogs)”
4/5 bubbles
I've stayed at the Rocket Inn at least half a dozen times in the last few years. Nice, friendly, helpful owners, good with local restaurant recommendations and more. Nice remodeled clean rooms, all non-smoking. Pretty good coffee in the mornings. Discounted tickets available to one of the local (and very close nearby) hot springs. And if you're lucky, you'll get to meet 1 or 2 of the owner's dogs.

“Chic remodeled Inn...the BEST in T or C”

What a lovely overnight visit I had at the Rocket Inn. My hosts could not have been more friendly and welcoming.

I received excellent recommendations on spas and dining. The owner of the Inn provided me with walking maps, directions and personal attention unrivaled by even the 5-star luxury, chain resorts.

I conveniently purchased a discounted pass to the historic La Paloma Mineral Spa and bathhouse at check-in. Her recommendation was spot-on...I thoroughly enjoyed my excursion.

The Inn is cozy and quiet at night. There is an efficient wall air conditioner/heater unit. I was able to run the unit and cool off the room when I first arrived. Then I was able to turn off the unit and use the ceiling fan and remain comfortable all night.

The crisp linens are comfortable and the pillows have differing degrees of fluffiness, so I could find the ones I enjoyed the most.

The common areas are conducive to relaxing. It would be excellent for couples or families.

The only thing lacking was one more vacation day, in my schedule, so I could stay another day!! I give the Rocket Inn my highest recommendation of the places to stay in T or C. I hope to return soon!

We found this hostel at TripAdvisor and staid there one night. The room was spacious and clean, the owner lovely and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, the shower water hot.
Its a small place, only 11 rooms, but really cute.

“A HIDDEN GEM IN T+C”
Aside from the usual lower line chain hotels at the freeway exit, or the big Spa resort facilities for which Truth of Consequences is known, the desert town is not exactly chocked full of lodging alternatives. But there is one and if you are in the T+C "market" you'll want to visit the ROCKET INN.........a charming, kitchy, unassuming little single story motel with a dozen or so rooms next to the Roman Catholic church in town.
The Rocket Inn is a nod to the fledgling astro space industry that's attempting to get rolling in South Central New Mexico, but that's not the point. The rooms are all named after various space programs Voyager/Apollo/Hubble etc. The doors to all individual rooms is a charming distressed blue color. An old old motel, the new owners have brought the place back to life by creating simple, comfortable accommodations. Clean, Neat, Easy. A flate screen TV, arm chair, small desk....it's all there and it's justfine.
Outside on the gravel parking lot are newly installed trees which will soon shade the entire facility, ground cover st arting to creep all the way along the walks and a picnic table along with several lounging chairs for the outdoor cocktail hour and cigar crowd...or kids to play for the occasional Pokemon.
The beds are comfortable. The individual room A/C's are remote control operated for your pleasure of summer cool or winter warm.
The wi fi is free and strong. The local cable tv has all the usual channels plus network.
You pull your car directly in front of your room and you're done.
There's a mini continental breakfast gratis every morning. Enough to get you down the road to Las Cruces or up to Albuquerque.
The prices are very much in line with the big boys on the Interstate and the relaxed hospitable atmosphere at the Rocket Inn make it an excellent alternative.
Room Tip: Ask When you reserve via email they will guide you to the proper room/size etc.
